Smart Choices : A Practical Guide to Making Better Decisions
Decisions shape our experiences, from choosing to buying the right car, to selecting a good cellphone, etc. How do we know which choice is the smart one? How can we be consistent and confident in our decisions? In this book teacher can learn how to be a smart buyer. People of course ever have a problem when buy a product. So why, we should learn about some tips and tricks before buy a product. We use many products! A food product and we eat food products. Clothes products, school products and any others. Do ever think, Why did you buy it? Why do you like it? Tell me about a time you bought something you didn’t like. Why didn’t you like it? What was wrong with it? We also learn about manufacturer how they test the product before sell to the custimers. They test the car by crash the car, the test oys are tested, too. The “torque test" twists toys until they break. The “drop test" drops toys on the floor! Waterproof toys are dipped in water. Machines tear balloons. If something doesn't work, manufacturers must fix the problem. Researchers in Sweden have come up with a new kind of crash test. They created an unusual type of dummy—a moose! Moose crashes with cars cause thousands of accidents and many deaths every year. Scientists wanted to create a test to measure the forces in these impacts. They hope that by understanding more about what happens in these accidents, car manufacturers can better protect drivers. Teaching Tip Sometimes, it’s best to teach a new vocabulary word through multiple examples rather than by defining the word or showing a visual. First, provide several examples of the word. When introducing the word product, for instance, you might say that a can of beans, a T-shirt, a computer, and a kayak are all examples of products. Then check students’ understanding by providing options for the best examples of the word. Provide a list of things, such as a car, a swamp, a frozen pizza, sneakers, and a planet. Ask students to identify which things are correct examples of products and which are not.
